ART EXHIBITION

Rythym between street and court
Project Overview
In spaces where indigenous languages are sidelined and mainstream systems overlook the unconventional, people learn to excel in their own vernacular.

Presented as a closed call featuring nine artists, VOP brings together diverse visual languages responding to this shared condition.

My Contributions
VOP is guided by the creative vision of Naa Shika Adu, whose lived experience in sport shapes the exhibition’s conceptual core. Known as “The Tennis Girl,” She grew up with an identity marked by uncertainty, regret, and unfinished paths.
Rather than rejecting that identity, she reframes it in VOP where, sport becomes language, and tennis becomes a canvas for expression, discipline, and belonging.
The works capture moments of owned identity; youth finding voice, focus, power, and resilience expressed through the rhythm of play. Through this exhibition, Naa Shika positions sport not as competition alone, but as cultural infrastructure: a medium for storytelling, connection, and social imagination.
